The least obtrusive way to add a sub to your Non-Sony system is to look at one of the small self-powered-subs that will fit under a front seat, tapping into the existing speaker wiring. ![]() There's several threads here about modifying the Non-Sony audio system, suggest you search for those, several which mention subs, and post any additional Q's on one of those threads. For practical purposes impossible to retro-fit, and anyway you can do much better in terms of sound quality going the route of a custom aftermarket solution (without sacrificing any of your OEM dashboard, voice command or steering-wheel controls). the Sony variation (the only Escape system with an OEM subwoofer) uses different and additional modules, very substantial wiring harness differences, different dashboard control panels, different cargo-area trim panels, etc, etc. Click to expand.OK, so that means you do not have the "Sony" system (no "Sony" label on anything in your Escape, correct?)Įxpanding on what said. ![]()
